The First Violet of Spring

Es war Plato, der vor vielen Jahren bemerkte, dass es sehr schwierig sei, zu verstehen, was Musik wirklich bedeutete, wenn wir keine Worte zur Musik hätten. Heutzutage gibt es Menschen, die immer noch dieser Meinung sind, obwohl die Musik für einen Musiker ihre Geschichte so direkt und vollständig erzählt, wie Worte es können. In diesem Fall haben wir die Melodie, während ein zweiter Spieler die Begleitung übernimmt. Der Primaspieler oder ein anderer kann die Worte ebenfalls singen und auf diese Weise die Idee in ihrer ganzen Vollkommenheit hervorheben. Die Idee besteht darin, die Melodie so zu spielen, dass man „fast die Worte spricht“, wie man sagt.
