William Goodwin
Voluntary No. I Adagio & Allegro
From “Twelve Voluntaries for Organ or Harpsichord”
This piece consists of two parts: Adagio and Allegro, but what is remarkable about this piece is that they are both played at the same tempo, 110 BPM, but the Allegro sounds much faster. This is because the Adagio is written in 3/2 measure, and the Allegro in 4/4 measure. In KlavarScore notation, the notes in the Allegro are closer together than in the Adagio.
As for the tempo, this is just an example, play at your own pace!
