The First Violet of Spring

Het was Plato, die vele jaren geleden opmerkte dat wanneer we geen woorden hadden voor muziek, het erg moeilijk was om te onderscheiden wat het werkelijk betekende. Er zijn tegenwoordig mensen die deze mening nog steeds koesteren, hoewel voor een muzikant de muziek zijn verhaal zo direct en volledig mogelijk vertelt. In dit geval hebben we de melodie terwijl een seconda speler de begeleiding geeft. De prima speler of een ander kan de woorden ook zingen, en op deze manier het idee in al zijn perfectie naar voren brengen. Het idee is om de melodie zo te spelen dat je "de woorden bijna uitspreekt", zoals mensen zeggen.
